Magdalena Pawlisz was selected as an active participant of the 4th Grzegorz Fitelberg International Conducting Masterclass 2025 organised by the Silesian Philharmonic and led by Lawrence Foster.
The masterclass will provide 4 days of practical workshops with the Symphony Orchestra of the Silesian Philharmonic, as well as conducting consultations under the guidance of Maestro Lawrence Foster.
Lawrence Foster, a Koussevitzky Prize laureate at Tanglewood, was an assistant to Zubin Mehta at the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Principal Guest Conductor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He has held music director positions at Houston Symphony, Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, and Gulbenkian Orchestra. His impressive discography includes recordings for Pentatone and EMI, including the Grand Prix du Disque-winning performance of George Enescu’s opera Oedipe.
The masterclass finalises with a concert on 27 June 2025, An opportunity to perform in front of an audience and to conduct the Symphony Orchestra of the Silesian Philharmonic.
